Release & Environment Manager (Part-time)

ROLE SUMMARY 

The Release & Environment Manager owns release coordination, environment hygiene, and production stability, ensuring predictability and traceability. 

This role prevents chaos. 

ENGAGEMENT MODEL 

• Part-time (e.g., 1–2 days/week) 
• Peaks around release windows 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Release Management 

• Define release calendars and versioning 
• Coordinate cross-team release readiness 
• Ensure rollback and recovery plans exist 

Environment Management 

• Maintain environment parity 
• Enforce access controls 
• Track configuration drift 

Change Control 

• Maintain release documentation 
• Support change approval workflows 
• Ensure traceability for audits 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 7+ years in release or environment management 
• Experience in regulated or enterprise platforms 
• Strong organizational skills 
• Comfort enforcing process discipline
